An energy assessment is an evaluation of your home's energy consumption and a detailed inspection to determine how to improve your homes energy efficiency and comfort. If you have high utility bills, rooms that are too cold/too hot, indoor air quality issues or you just want to get the best performance out of your house then we can help. Often mistakes made during a homes construction or equipment change-out can lead to years of problems and inefficiency. Many contractors are unaware that small errors can make a big difference in a homes energy consumption. We use Building Performance Institute certified professionals to inspect your home and look for existing issues and potential areas of improvement. The energy assessment can then be used to develop a scope of work for your house and determine the cost-effectiveness of a retrofit.

If you have thought about solar, think about getting a home energy assessment first. Energy efficiency means getting the same performance with less energy use. In most cases, our projects are much more comfortable for the occupants and cost a lot less to heat and cool. After the retrofit is complete, a smaller solar panel system can be used and is therefore less expensive, with a shorter payback period.
