 |  We hired Kamran & Ava construction to do a master bedroom addition and kitchen remodel. He started with the new addition first and moved very quickly to the kitchen remodel. We are very happy with the quality of the construction and materials used in it. His crew is very professional and pay close attention to details. Whenever we saw issues we sent Kamran an email and he responded immediately. He also responds well to text messages and phone calls for urgent matters. Kamran went above and beyond the original contract without nickel and diming us for every little change. I would definitely hire Ava Construction again without any reservations for our future needs. I highly recommend Kamran and his excellent crew. I love how the house turned out and enjoy coming home to it. | When we decided to sell our house, we wanted some one who could remodel the entire kitchen within a week with very good quality Cabinets and granite counter top for reasonable price. We found Kamran through referral and he did a wonderful job and exceeded all of our expectation. 1. We were stunned by the beauty of the kitchen after remodeling - the cabinets were awesome and looked very much like customer made. The finishing of Counter top and floor was clean and flawless. 2. He finished the kitchen in about 5 days - started the work on 1/20/2011 and I think finished it on 1/24/2011. 3. The price was very competitive. | We highly recommend AVA Construction for any remodeling needs. From architectural layout to quality construction to the fine details of tile design ... AVA does it all. Our house had multiple issues that needed addressing. Not really knowing what to do, we were attempting to address each one, one at a time. When we called Kamran Aslanpour, owner of AVA Construction, he quoted what we showed him, then discussed a makeover for an awkward layout. Our rooms were cramped with low ceilings and the kitchen was isolated from the rest of the rooms. Kamran also recommended a new approach for the garage, changing a curved driveway side entrance into a front, street facing entry. His solutions not only fixed our outdated bathroom, a faulty kitchen and all our plumbing issues, they completely transformed the house with a new functional, spacious floor plan. One that flows. Suddenly the dread of all our projects turned into confidence as we talked about a complete remodel of our entire house. Literally. Ours was a major remodel with so many layers of work. Additional square footage was added. The interior of the house was completely gutted and all new electrical, plumbing and Sheetrock were installed along with a new gas line for a cook top. A double fireplace was removed and a whole new floor plan incorporated. We went from 3 bedrooms - 1-1/2 baths to 3 bedrooms - 2-1/2 baths, which includes a Master Suite with a huge walk-in closet, a Great Room, and a new Living Room. During construction phase, we would check on progress and, whatever our expectations, we found ongoing work was done better than we’d anticipated. Quality materials throughout, from copper tubing to strong walls to real hardwood flooring. And attention to detail. The plumbing and electrical work is well thought out -- details we would not think about doing ourselves. The tile design throughout the house is amazing. Over and over again, we realized how AVA goes the 'extra mile' exceeding just the basic needs. Our kitchen and bathrooms have that ‘wow’ appeal we see in magazines with beautiful CaesarStone counter tops and custom tile design. As to budget. Our funds were tight, and Kamran stayed on budget. From start to finish, it took about five months. This through one of the stormiest winters California has had in two decades. The finished results are dramatic. It’s a whole new house -- from the front elevation to the entire interior. We like to say our favorite thing is everything. After twenty-nine years, we are now living in our “dream house” and are so thankful to Kamran and David Baker and the whole AVA team who helped make this dream come true. Kamran Aslanpour is a man with exceptional vision and talent. He takes care of all the materials and design elements -- right down to detail work, and he thinks of everything! | I very much enjoy working with them. What I like about them the most is their honesty, responsibility and flexibility. I talked to many contractors before I decided to go with them and the first thing that made me consider them was their price. They had unbeatable quote to begin with but then natually I wondered about the quality of their job given such a nice pricing that they offered. So I went to see their job sites to see their work and to talk to their customers. And I was sold after that. I loved the work that they had done for other customers and those customers were all praising how quick they finished the job with superb quality. So I started my house remodeling with them. But my remodeling project turned out to be a rebuilding job. I ended up pretty much rebuiling the whole house as my house was really old and outdated but without paying more than what's listed in the contract! Unlike other contractor, AVA didn't ask me to pay more to cover unexpected costs, like engineering fees and brand new roof expenses imposed by city requirement. I would have been in big trouble if I were to cover all those as I was already under very tight budget. He was very truthful to the contract and very accommodating to changes that I wanted to make as I go through the project. They used and recommended good quality materials and products and yet allowed me to choose and design things for my own taste. They always tried to help me financially and were flexible to incorporate changes that I wanted to make. I ended up adding many new features to the house and in all occasions, they helped me to get the best deal for best products from their sub-contractors and vendors. I think it is very important that your contractor has and works with good people in order to get the best quality job and I think AVA definitely has quality people. | I've had many experiences with multiple different contractors and nobody has even come close to Kamran Aslanpour, the owner of AVA Construction. In March 2010 I had finally decided to completely remodel my house. He and the rest of the company were a pleasure to work with and the only surprise that arose during construction was how fast the home was complete! I wanted to add about 1000 square feet to my house, both in the front and in the back, and also completely remodel my 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Every contractor I spoke with quoted me a timeline of between 6-9 months, but with AVA Construction, by home was 100% completed after 3 months! For those of you who do not know how long a project like this takes, I promise that you that it is unheard of. Kamran had told me that it would take 3 months, but I really didn't believe him and rented an apartment for 5 months. Good thing I was able to get my money back when my home was complete! Everyday, I would drive by my home to take a look at the progress and everyday I would be amazed at how quickly, cleanly, and professionally it was progressing. All the employees were extremely kind and a pleasure to get to know and I still keep in touch with the owner. I had heard stories from friends about contractors who would make promises and then give you less than what you were told, but with Kamran and AVA Construction I was really given more than I could ever imagine. A great example of this is when I asked for the shower in my bathroom to be tiled all around. I chose a color and expected it to be tiled everywhere. What I saw when the job was complete was detailed designs matching my color beautifully placed in a few places and TILE CROWN MOULDING all the way around the top edges! It was more incredible than I can even explain. When my kitchen was done, it looked like a custom kitchen out of a 5-star magazine! I couldn't believe that it was mine! The amount of detail that goes into Kamran's work is unbelievable! Overall, I had one of the most professional and greatest experiences that I have ever encountered when trusting a complete stranger with my home! I couldn't be happier with the final result and would recommend Kamran and AVA Construction to anybody who wants any type of work done to their house. | This contractor has a unbeatable and optimized price with high quality of design and performance in comparing with others. Not only the price is great they have all skilled technicians you need in small or big remodeling projects. I have remodeled our bathroom, office, garage , and recently our kitchen by them. | This is a great company to work with. For us it was remodeling most of our home; completely changing the kitchen and adding a bedroom and bathroom. I was expecting this to be very stressful, but Kamran and his crew made it as easy as possible. Not only did we appreciate the quality of the work, but also the fact that Kamran gets to know you so well that he knows what you'll like before you do! By the time we got to the bathroom I let him pick everything, and I LOVE it!! I'm pretty picky so I would leave post-its on anything I wanted fixed; things as small as a missed spot on a painted wall or a crooked switch plate cover. Every post-it was taken care of without complaints. His employees are another positive factor. I've especially enjoyed working with Dave, Dario, "The Other Kamran" and recently, Rafi. | We had two bathroom remodel done by AVA Construction. Kamran provided a fairly competitive quote and finished the job with very good quality within +-2 days of the planned date. The whole crew was nice and responsible especially he had a wonderful plumber. We had only a few misunderstandings and one little mistake but they fixed both cases. Overall the experience was fairly smooth. The best part about Kamran is that after a few interactions you feel you can trust him. He went out of his way once or twice to tell us why we may want to reconsider our choice to get a nice and more functional bathroom.
